Much more than scribbles

On last Thursday 19 took place Doodle Art Contest organized by the mark RED BULL

The call awarded creativity of students at several Universities of Lima

Art can be found in the most unexpected places, such as notebooks for students. If there is anything in common among these students, scribbles and drawings are being done while listening 'carefully' to their teachers hoping to complete in class. Often the moments of boredom have inspired these artists junior, who with this pastime have created a new form of artistic expression. Who has not ever scribbles the last page of a notebook or a blank sheet of paper as he spoke over the phone? That is why Red Bull first introduced an art contest in which they are rewarded creativity and talent of the artists misunderstood potentially several universities, including the Universidad Catolica, the Universidad de Lima and the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas. Cards were distributed in these places for students put on it all his talent. The result was more than 500 drawings with various techniques such as "fine pen", pencils and markers.

THE CONTEST
Jury was composed of the art director of the mark Dunkenvolk, Dieter Zuniga, the chief designer, Carlos Rodriguez, and plastic artist Pablo Patrucco. The choice was not an easy job because the pieces were genuine works of art. "We have taken into account the work that really could be in the back of a notebook. Has been awarded the originality, and technical drawing," said Patrucco.

The best works exhibited at the Sargento Pimienta in Barranco impressed those in attendance. The winner of the contest was Judit Zanelli Drago, a student of graphic design at the Universidad Catolica, who dazzled the judges with the original piece "Play Me". The fifth year student received as a reward for his talent 200 dollars and a chance to see their design printed in a limited line of clothing brand Dunkenvolk. "I thought it was a great opportunity to get to fly our imagination and bring our sketches to another level," said the excited winner.

The painter Pablo Patrucco was impressed with the outcome of this initiative. "Just as many of the participants had the hobby of scribble in notebooks since very young. This allowed me to experience many techniques. I think this can often be the first manifestation of many young people in the future engage in the art," explained Patrucco. The best works will be exhibited so roaming several universities in the city.
